Book Review: Eon by Alison Goodman

Find your dragon within.

Everyone thinks Eon is a boy training to become a Dragoneye under a strict and ambitious master. A Dragoneye is the human link to an energy dragon’s power. Eon is learning all about Dragon Magic, which is based on the Chinese zodiac and involves two types of skills: sword fighting and magic. Even though Eon is weaker than the rest of the boys training to be Dragoneyes, he’s got an unusually strong connection to energy dragons, and this characteristic helps him rise above the rest of his class.

When Eon finds himself in the middle of a lethal struggle for the Imperial throne, he discovers a world of hidden identities, secret alliances and a dangerous enemy who will stop at nothing to take Eon’s powers and make them his own. Add to this the fact that if anyone finds out Eon is actually a girl disguised as a boy, it would mean instant death, and you’ve got a real summer thriller on your hands!

The reason why I liked this book is because of how the way the author, Alison Goodman wrote about this book. It captures the attention of the reader of wanting to know more about the book and how the story line does goes. If you like fantasy or adventure, I would recommend you to read the book.
